RUTH HOROWITZ, Franklin Square, NY
Ruth Paulina Horowitz, 96, passed away peacefully
at home on January 8 th , 2022. Ruth was born in the
Bronx on July 4 th , 1925 to Bertha (Greenberg) and
Joseph Meyers. She was a 1943 graduate of Walton
High School. On July 18 th , 1948, Ruth married
Abraham “Al” Horowitz. Al was born September 5 th ,
1919 to Lena (Thur) and Samuel Horowitz. After
initially living in the Bronx, they moved to Franklin
Square in 1957 where they raised their family. Ruth
was predeceased by her husband on May 25 th ,
2000. Ruth and Al are survived by their children
Barbara (Edward) Lehman of Baldwin, NY, and
Steven (Kitt) Horowitz of Clifton Park, NY, by
grandchildren Raina (Jeremy) Rabinowitz,
Stephanie Lehman, Allison Lehman and Joshua
Horowitz, and by great-grandchildren Corey, Zadie
and Rylee Rabinowitz.
