OBITUARY: On May 19, 2022, Harry Koslow passed away peacefully surrounded by friends and family. Harry Charles Koslow was born March 4, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY. Predeceased by his parents Irving and Anna Koslow, and his sister Cheryl McGuinness, he was the husband of Karen Koslow, father of Bryan (Jennifer) & Seth (Jill) Koslow and Michelle (Michael) Berger, and cherished grandfather to Naomi, Gefen, Taylor, Sam, Jaclyn, Julia, Benjamin & Jacob.
Harry graduated from Brooklyn College with an accounting degree and quickly became a CPA. Harry and Karen married on November 9, 1975 and moved to Baldwin, NY in 1978, where they started their family. Shortly thereafter, Harry started his accounting practice from nothing and grew it into a practice that survives to this day serving more than 500 clients.
Harry was active in the South Baldwin Jewish Center where he served on the Board for many years, including as Treasurer and 2nd Vice President. He enjoyed following the stock market, boating, and collecting dolphin figurines. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his family, especially his 8 grandchildren – his pride and joy. He was an outgoing personality who was never afraid to tell you what he thought. Every person who met him enjoyed his company. Harry will be missed by many.
