George Jay Schleifer, 90, passed away on November 24, 2024. George was born on August 2, 1934 to Nettie and Meyer Schleifer in Brooklyn, New York. After high school, George enlisted into the US Navy and served proudly for our country from 1952-1956. He later married his wife, Anne and they went on to have three children, Iris, Susan, and Harvey and two grandchildren, Mara and Nicole. George was a devoted husband and father, always valuing the importance of family.
George appreciated the simple things in life and there was nothing he valued more than being with his family. George traveled the world with Anne, attended every milestone event for his children and grandchildren (big or small), watched his favorite sports teams, the Mets, Knicks, and Giants, and enjoyed the occasional cold beer with friends.
