Lois (Fetterman) Bodik passed away on Sunday morning on May 4 at her home in Syosset NY. She was 88 years old. Born in Jamaica NY on August 15, 1936 to Maurice and Gloria Fetterman, she was the firstborn and heart of her family, a superstar in high school, graduating with top honors in art, journalism and biology. She attended Pratt Institute for Art and earned her BA in Psychology from Queens College. After graduation she worked as a stewardess for the Federal Government on government flights and traveled round the world. She met her husband Joachim Bodik through her job. Married in 1961, they raised two children, Tammy Zena Evans and Michael G. Bodik. Continuing to work in Syosset, where they made their own home for 52 years, she worked in advertising for North Shore Today. All her colleagues and neighbors adored Lois for her endless good humor, generosity, compassion and lively spirit. The pleasure of her company was enjoyed by all who knew her, especially her siblings and grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by her sister Bonny Fetterman, her brother and sister-in-law, Harold and Susan Fetterman, her daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and John Evans, her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Isis Bodik, her granddaughter Lauren (Evans) Palmer (Steven), her grandson Matthew Evans and fiancé Paige Oltman, and her great grandchildren, Jack Palmer, and twins Margot and Sloane Palmer. Her radiant smile, bright blue eyes, and wonderful laugh will always be remembered with love.
