Shelley was born February 22, 1950 in Brooklyn, New York and moved to Plainview, New York at age 6. She attended Quinnipiac College and received her bachelors degree and then received two Masters at Columbia University. She was a guidance counselor in Queens for her entire career.
Shelley accumulated many lifelong friends over her life and was loved for her carefree spirit and smile. She devoted herself to her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers donations are welcome to The Victory Center in N. Miami Beach,Florida, a school for students with autism that Shelley was proud her brother Barry founded to help children like his son, and Shelley’s nephew, Jesse. Visit TheVictorySchool.org for information and donations.
Services will be held at Guttermans Memorial Chapel in Woodbury, NY
Guests are to arrive between 9:00am and 10:00am
Sanctuary service will start promptly at 10:00am
