Bernardino Romano “Ben”, “Uncle Benny”, “Bennie”,
“Grandpa Ben”, “Goombah”, “Papa Ben”, age 87, passed away peacefully on August 30, 2026.
Born in Brooklyn, Ben was the son of the late Maria and Rafael Romano and beloved brother to Gene Romano.
Through his journey of 87 years, Ben was loved by many people. Leaving an imprint on everyone of our hearts in a way only Ben could do.
Ben loved his people. He loved them hard and true.
Ben devoted his life to raising his two children Tracey and Todd.
Always making sure to teach them the how’s and why’s of life.
In 1980, Ben met Angelina.
He truly found his person in Angie. Together, for 46 years, both Ben and Angie loved and cherished one another immensely.
Ben, enjoyed working on cars, projects and could fix anything.
He always had the correct tool and know-how for the job.
Spending time with family and friends truly made Ben happy.
He is survived by his wife Angelina “Ang”, his children, Tracey and Todd and daughter-in-law Jodi, Angelina’s son, Vincent Sr.,
His granddaughters, Alexa and Emerson, his grandson Vincent, his wife Mel, his two great grandchildren, Izabella and Thomaz, and his niece and nephews, Suzanne, Gene and Greg.
