PODZIBA–Dora Berlin passed away peacefully on June 24, at 91. Beloved wife of the late Benjamin Podziba. Loving mother of Helene (Bob Feinland), Susan (Scott Cassel), and Kenneth (Julie). Adoring grandmother of Sarah (Yaron Klein), Ashley, Alexa, and Isaac. Loving sister of the late Sonia (Israel) Zacher, the late Pola (William) Dickstein, and the late Luba (Harry) Marcus. Devoted sister-in-law to Shirley Smith and the late Evelyn Fenner. Dora was adored by her ten nieces and nephews. Born in Cuba as one of the renowned “Berlin Triplets,” Dora and her family moved to New York City when she was 9. Whether it was as a member of the Arcadians Social Club, OJC in Oceanside, or the Atria in Great Neck, Dora was always surrounded by friends and family who loved and adored her. Dora devoted considerable time and energy to her family, charitable causes, her many friends, and anyone who needed a helping hand. Dora will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and the warmth she exuded to anyone with whom she came in contact. Dora was dearly loved and cherished. She will be greatly missed and will remain in our hearts forever.
