Elaine Ruth Levy (January 8, 1933 – February 20, 2025) It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Elaine Ruth Levy, 92, who passed away peacefully on February 20, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 8, 1933, Elaine was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend. She is predeceased by her parents, Albert and Shirley Wilen; and her husband, Stanley Levy. She is survived by her brother Harold Wilen; her children, Lori and son-in-law, Glen Sheridan; Adam Levy and partner, Fran Bernstein; her grandchildren Danielle and husband Justin Sampson; Jonathan and wife Bridget Sheridan; great-grandsons Lucas and Connor Sampson; and nephews Albie Wilen and Cesar Wilen. Elaine and her loving husband, Stanley, shared a remarkable and enduring bond throughout their 57 years of marriage. Together, they built a life filled with love, laughter, and shared memories. A proud New Yorker, Elaine spent much of her life in the Bronx before raising her family in East Windsor, NJ. Her kindness, selflessness, and generosity were felt by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. She was a woman of wisdom, always ready with the best advice and a thoughtful solution to any situation. Elaine’s caring nature extended to everyone around her, and she will be remembered for her ability to cheer people up with a song or lighten the mood with her quick wit and humor. She had a gift for making people laugh and always knew how to brighten any room she entered. Her family was her greatest joy, and she cherished every moment with them. Elaine’s love and devotion to her loved ones will leave a lasting legacy that will be felt for generations. A funeral service and celebration of her life will be held at 1pm on Monday, February 24, 2025, at Gutterman’s, 175N. Long Beach Road, Rockville Centre NY. The family will be sitting Shiva at the Sheridan’s house in East Windsor on Tuesday, February 25 and Wednesday, February 26. Elaine will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love, laughter, and caring spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
