Fred Bornstein passed away on Jan 14, 2024, at the age of 89. Fred was born in Patterson, NJ. He graduated from Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in accounting. He was an accountant in the Army serving in France. After the army, he returned to U.S. and ended up working for a small accounting firm named Fields, Fischgrund and Aerenson, which later merged with BDO Seidman.

Fred was a steady, warm and caring man who loved being with friends and family and sharing good food and drinks. He especially cherished time with his children and many grandchildren. He loved spending time with his wife and best friend, Barbara, and going on trips and adventures. They traveled the world together and made friends wherever they went.

He is predeceased by his parents, Samuel and Ann Bornstein, his sons Arthur and Michael Bornstein, and his wife Ruby Schorsch Bornstein as well as his brother, Alan Bornstein. Fred leaves behind his wife Barbara, and his four sons and their spouses, Evan Robbins (Lisa), Jeffrey Robbins (Nicole), Gary Robbins (Barbara), and Gary Bornstein (Wayne Zabel). His grandchildren Arianna, Maya, Jesse, Aidan, Dylan, Sarah, Olivia, Mason, Brennan and Juliette.
