Golden – Helene, loving spouse and soulmate of Robert S. Vollmer Sr. of Boca Raton passed from the loving arms of her family to eternal peace on January 22nd, 2024 after 90 years of bringing joy and sunshine and delight to all who had the privilege of calling her family or friend. Her strength and spirit, which never faltered in her fight with cancer, has earned the love, respect, and admiration of all who knew her.

Helene was preceded in death by her first husband, Dr. Emanuel Golden (*2008). She leaves behind her second husband Robert S. Vollmer Sr, her son Dr. Gregory E. Golden, her daughter Amy Golden (Russ), her brother Jay S. Cohen (Mary) and her grandson Bryan Fleissig.

Although Helene played many roles in many locales from growing up with her brother Jay in Birmingham, Alabama to raising a family in New York, while managing her husband’s medical practice, to Boca Raton, Florida where she sold Israel Bonds and travel and traveled the world hosting cruises. Along the way she attended Ohio State University, modeled swimwear in Miami, and marketed hotels in Dallas and Atlanta. She did it all with a smile on her beautiful face, a song in her heart, and a love of life and people that knew no bounds. Everywhere she went, she left behind a legacy of sunshine. Any memory of Helene is sure to brighten anyone’s day.

A memorial service, officiated by Congregation B’nai Israel Rabbi Roni Keller and Cantor Muchnick will be celebrated on Thursday Jan 25, 2024 at 11am at Boca Raton Mausoleum 451 SW 4th Ave, Boca Raton, FL 33432. The service will be followed by entombment at Boca Raton Mausoleum.

Shiva will be observed at the Golden residence 6812 Willow Wood Drive #804 after the service.
