Notes:
Joseph Anthony Nieto, born on April 5, 1938, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. He was the beloved son of Anna Maturano Nieto and Antonio Nieto.
Joseph was a proud Navy veteran, a time in his life he spoke of with great honor. His service reflected the strong sense of integrity and responsibility that guided him throughout his life.
He was a devoted husband to his loving wife, Madeline, and a dedicated father to his two children, Mark and Stacey. He was also a cherished father-in-law to Stephanie and a beloved brother to his sister, Anna Marie. Joseph took great joy in being a grandfather to Adam, Gabrielle, Jake, Skylar, and Riley, each of whom he loved dearly.
Joseph appreciated life’s simple and meaningful pleasures. He loved music and was known for carefully making mixed tapes for family and friends, a reflection of his thoughtfulness and desire to share what he loved with others. He enjoyed a great meal and relished talking about it, he loved time spent outdoors tending his garden, and watching movies, especially courtroom dramas. He strongly believed in healthy nutrition, often referencing the guidance of his mother and her emphasis on the importance of good food. Ever curious, Joseph loved doing research at the library, always eager to learn and understand more about the world around him.
Those who knew Joseph described him as a great man who always did the right thing, consistently putting others before himself. He lived with quiet strength and kindness and his example will continue to guide and inspire his family and all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Joseph will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
