Martin Draisin

Martin was, as the Yiddish saying goes, a mensch, and, as the American saying goes, the mayor of the block. He had kind eyes, a bright smile, and a greeting in the native language of everyone he encountered. He loved people, and they loved him back. He was outgoing, empathetic, and compassionate.

Martin was also a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He leaves behind his daughter, Deborah Jill, and his grandson, Damien Vaughn, the lights of his life.

We hope that he has been reunited at last with our mom and grandma, Nancy, his wife of 51 years, on whose shoulders the sun rose and set for him.
