Dr. Michael Kampel
With great sadness – we announce the regrettable loss of Dr. Michael Kampel, who passed peacefully on September 28, 2023. Michael was born in Huntington, LI, the son of Bill and Hannah Kampel. He was a well-respected dentist for nearly 40 years in the Long Island and New York area. It was during this period of his working life, as a member and President of the Alph Omega Dental Fraternity, that he accrued friends and acquaintances here and around the world. He will be remembered and loved for his leadership and philanthropy by all who knew him.
Michael found true love when he met the love of his life, Kathleen Rizzo. They were married on November 30, 1991, and blended their loving families together. He will be dearly missed by: his beloved sister Gerri Kania and her husband Edwin; his children Josh & Amanda Kampel, Dayna Rizzo, Christopher & Karen Rizzo; his grandchildren Rebecca & Jessica Kampel, Karina & Jason Cranmer, Roman & Jacqueline Rizzo; and his great-grandchildren Lucas & Nicholas Cranmer. His legacy and memory will be sadly grieved by all his loving family, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all who loved him dearly.
Rest easy, Michael, and know that you had a true and deep impact on everyone who knew you. We will all love and miss you forever.
The memorial service will take place at Gutterman Warheit Memorial Chapel (7240 North Federal Hwy., Boca Raton FL 33487) on Sunday, October 1, at 1:00 p.m.
The family will be sitting shiva on Sunday, October 1, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday, October 2, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.
