Michael A. Marcus Obituary

I, Mindy W. Marcus, the wife of Michael A. Marcus, write this brief obituary, in loving memory of my
husband, friend and companion, and the father of our beloved son Joseph H. Marcus (Joey) to share the
information of his sudden passing of 68 years, on November 07, 2024.

Shiva-at home meeting- to follow on Sunday at our home.
We request a brief time after service for the family to come home first, and an approximate ending at or
near 9 pm for us to rest. Monday’s hours are 12 – 4 pm and 7- 9 pm.

Michael was a kind and generous, men, with street smarts and a great sentimental heart. He
collected and cherished many memorabilia. He was always there to lend a hand when someone asked.
Adopted by Betty and Jack Marcus along with his brother Robert, he was loved and raised with his
cousins and extended family neighbors.
He was always a worker and had a few jobs before going to trade school and becoming an Air
Conditioner Mechanic, of which he worked for Mainco/OneSource for almost nearly 40 years. A man’s
man with a sense of humor, he worked with many and made some fine friends. A severe car accident on
his way home from work brought him to retirement.
He since developed a diagnose of Multiple Sclerosis. He was active with the M.S. Society group
and at the local Y, where he made friends at the swimming classes there, as well as attending monthly
meetings at a local church.
Good and close bonds developed with others as we shared friendships and activities with friends
like Elaine and Neil Sachs of whom to this day bring us joy and love. We recently celebrated our 36th
wedding anniversary. Well-seasoned travelers, we shared many adventures together.
Michael loved animals and always had pets in his life, the first of them, his beloved dog Skippy
and later many dogs and cats throughout our lives which always brought and still bring joy to our hearts.
Just days before his unexpected passing of a heart attack (brough on by an infection that went
septic into his blood stream) we were able to share a special weekend with our beloved son Joey and his
lady Cathrine. The last voice he heard was that of our son. The last thing that I heard him say was, I want
to go home, and now, in a way, he is home.
As we never know when our time is up, we must try to cherish kindly what we can and share with
those special individuals in life. We have been fortunate for many friends, colleges, business associates
and neighbors who have been there for us over the years of which we share heart felt appreciated.
Those who knew him will miss his precocious smile and gentle ways. We, his immediate family,
wish that we could just be able to speak with him one more time and tell him how much we love him. In
hopes that someday I/we will “See You Again”.
