Naomi Price Nahama

Naomi Price Nahama passed away on August 17, 2023 at the age of 92. She was a strong and resilient woman.  Relentlessly positive, she was the eternal optimist.  She was born in Elizabeth, New Jersey, raised her family in Carteret, and lived the last 25 years in Delray Beach, Florida.

Naomi was a book inhaler, crossword completer, unabashed singer, King’s Point Players Producer and Director, fearless chatterer to strangers, world class bargain hunter, and most famously, the writer of laudatory/parody songs. One of her classics includes “We’re Fiddlers on the Roof from Minue PTA. We’re trying not to goof.  We work instead of play.”

Naomi was a dedicated wife to Burton Price and Ozzie Nahama, as well as a true companion to Norbert Friedman for many years.

Naomi’s mothering instincts never wavered for her children Norman, Todd, Amy and Andrew. She was blessed with adoring grandchildren, Adrienne Price, Rachel Fracassi, Francesco Benjamin Fracassi, Rebecca Fracassi, Sakura Price and Niko Price.

Naomi hoped that people would remember her as someone who loved and was loved.

Memorial service for Naomi will be held at Temple Beth El, Beck Family Chapel on September 5 at 1:00. It will be available live streamed on the Temple Beth El, Boca Raton website at https://tbeboca.org/live-streaming/ . Shiva will be held at the home of Amy Price on September 5 and 6, 5-8:00pm. If you wish to make a contribution in Naomi’s memory, it may be made to Hadassah or The American Lung Association.
