Phyllis E. Krieger

Phyllis Ellen Krieger (nee Krassner), of Bellmore, NY, passed away peacefully on August 24, at the age of 81.She was born on September 21, 1944 in Brooklyn, NY and was the cherished daughter of Milton and Trudy Krassner.After graduating from Long Island University, Phyllis went on to teach elementary school in Brooklyn. She later became a teaching assistant in the Copiague School District for many years.

On September 4, 1966, she married Marvin Krieger. That marriage would have reached its remarkable 60th milestone this year.Phyllis loved her family, friends, reading, baking, playing Mahjong, going to concerts, listening to music, dancing, Brooklyn.

She is survived by her husband, Marvin; her daughter and son-in-law, Suzanne and John; her granddaughter, Reilly; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Arlene; her nieces, Danielle and Randi; and many dear friends. A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, August 30th at 3:00 PM at Gutterman’s Funeral Home in Rockville Centre, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to Alzheimer’s Association, The American Cancer Society, or Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
