It is with deep sadness that the Partners and Directors of Gutterman’s Family Funeral Homes announce the passing of our esteemed and long-time partner, Steven Kanowitz.

Steven served as Vice President of Gutterman’s Family Funeral Homes and was much more than a colleague — he was a mentor, confidant, and dear friend. Over nearly 40 years, Steven played a pivotal role in the growth and success of our company in both New York and Florida. Through his tireless dedication and compassionate care, he touched countless lives, providing comfort and guidance to families during their most difficult times.

Steven’s leadership, vision, and unwavering commitment to excellence helped shape the values that define Gutterman’s today. His influence will continue to guide the directors and staff he so passionately led, ensuring that the tradition of service and compassion he embodied will live on.

He was widely respected by colleagues, peers, and friends throughout the communities of New York and Florida. Steven will be remembered for his professionalism, kindness, generosity, and wisdom — qualities that made a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bonnie, Richard (Alissa), Melissa (Cliff), and Todd (Selena), along with their families. We are forever grateful for Steven’s leadership, loyalty, and friendship. He will be deeply missed.

May his memory be a blessing and never forgotten.
